Misfit Aid Chile

On the 29th of October 2010 I flew out with a team of twelve to the coastal town of Pichilemu-3hrs out of Santiago Chile to complete an Aid work project set in motion a few months back with Misfit Aid a non for profit organisation I have been working with.
After planning and executing ‘The Factory Of Yeah’ Charity Art Event which raised over $13K for this Chile Homes for Hope project-We were lucky enough thanks to LAN Airlines sponsorship to jet over to S.A and put in place the re build of lost homes from the earthquake and Tsunami earlier this year .
We were able to complete two homes, as well as help with projects within there community hall during our ten day trip, plus surf an epic un crowed left hander called ‘Punta de Lobos' (Point of the wolf) surrounded by cactus covered cliffs and ice cold water which I felt the potential for hypoerima on more than one occasion!
Chile was hit hard this year, but like many third world places I have visited the people never cease to amaze me with their open hearts.
The way people can come together to better those in need is something everyone should experience.
The simple truth is- if you project something positive out, more than likely you’ll receive a positive outcome.
